Is your shake safe in pregnancy / while pregnant?Updated a year ago

Is best to wait until after your baby is born to consume our In Shape Mummy Health Shake for Breastfeeding Mums. This is because it contains fenugreek. Fenugreek is a natural galactagogue (a herb that is used to help increase breast milk supply). But some say fenugreek can bring on early labour, so it's best avoided while the claims that fenugreek can bring on labour are based on consuming a much larger amount than is in our Breastfeeding Shakes, but we err on the side of caution.

We do have another range of shakes that does not contain fenugreek which is our In Shape Mummy Health Shake for Busy Mums. This Busy Mums Shake is a much better alternative when you are pregnant. Of course, before taking any supplements when you are pregnant, it is best to speak with your doctor or medical professional as your individual circumstances may vary. We recommend that you show them our shake, tell them about your current diet and follow their advice.

Also, it is best to just have our shake as a healthy snack in pregnancy rather than to replace meals with it. When pregnant it’s great to focus on being healthy for you and your bub.
