How long does it take to lose weight?Updated a year ago

  1. A healthy and safe amount of weight to lose if you're breastfeeding is 2kgs per month in order to support your milk supply. If you're not breastfeeding you can aim for 4-6 kgs per month.
  2. One of our customers lost 35 kgs over 18 months (losing 2 kgs per month) and another lost 11 kgs in 5 months. 
  3. Extreme diets that promise a weight loss at a faster rate than this are not suitable for breastfeeding as they can restrict calories too much and cut out important food groups so can affect milk supply. Also they are not sustainable long term as you can't survive starving yourself forever!
